Today we honor Barbara Turner. She is the first woman and first person of color to lead Ohio National Financial Services.
The Cincinnati native and UC alumna has served on the boards of The United Way, the Red Cross, The Health Collaborative, Playhouse in the Park and more.
There is one young man that I think a lot of us are forgetting to lift up in prayer in the past 72 hours, and that is Tee Higgins of the Cincinnati Bengals. Higgins is beside himself with guilt, and has not left the hospital since Damar Hamlin arrived Monday night.
Iāve known for a long time that 2023 would be about stewardship.
Stewarding my time with God well
Stewarding other relationships well
Stewarding my time well
Stewarding my gifts well
Stewarding my finances well
God has spoken this to me for months. Itās time to focus on it
Iāve been thinking about getting my nose pierced again for a longggg time. Itās been over 10 years since I first had it done. Corporate America conservatism is holding me. Butttttt I think Iāll still do it
A verse for the day:
āSearch me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.ā
Psalms 139:23-24
What I feared would happen has definitely happened. We have become desensitized to mass shootings. The stories all sound the same. We donāt get to properly mourn one group of victims before there is another. How did we get here?
