Maybe it's just the algorithm but I'm seeing a lot of posts like "I don't understand how you can't live on x,xxx/month!"
Here's what those posts don't understand: Expenses get exponentially complicated when you have children.
You can't always just spend $600 on groceries so the answer is not always "stop lifestyle creep".
The first thing I tell people when talking about finances is "figure out what you care about".
For my family it's good food, education, and spending time with others.
For others it's clothes, cars, and travel.
There's so many angles you can look at finances, but one that people need to think more about is what they actually care about in life and then start prioritizing around that.
P.S. Having more kids doesn't mean you have to spend a bunch of money - it just means the equation is more complicated. You can definitely have a handful of kids on a budget.
