So I think I have switch my mutation flow to event sourcing. Mutations will be slower'ish, but that's fine given the type of projects I work on.

DB migration is easy, data migration however, as @theo shown, is a very frustrating ordeal. Now conider the case for offline-first apps where not only the db sync drift is a real thing, but the source of truth is distributed.
