💥NEW JOB ALERT💥 I am very excited to be assisting the Proctor Bros business in their recruitment of 2 new arable operators. 2 extremely important positions, where the operators will work closely together across a range of arable farming operations. The business runs 2x 12m @HORSCHUK Avatar drills to establish all the catch/cover crops, combinables and herbal leys. Each operator will run and maintain 1 of these drills. 1 of the operators will take the lead on the crop protect role and use a 36m Fendt Rogator to apply PPP and biological feeds to the crops. A trailed sprayer will be used during busy times by the 2nd operator. Both machines backed up by bowser support. During harvest the business runs 2x @CLAAS_UK Lexion 8800 combines, each operator will take responsibility for a machine. Additionally, the business carries out strategic cultivations during the summer period. The full time operators will work closely with the wider harvest team to complete these operations, using LD subsoilers with rip and drip liquid systems and a @vaderstad cross cutter. The business offers in return, a competitive salary, accommodation to suit the individual/family, pension, life insurance, produce from the beef and lamb enterprises and further training and development opportunities. Ideally you will have a keen interest in operating large machinery, with regenerative farming experience or a passion to learn. The business uses ipads and Omnia software for record keeping and stock taking. Workshop and estate tasks to be completed when required. An interest in / experience with livestock is desirable. Wheat drilled 2 weeks ago tomorrow just poking through. Some drilled “on the green” (check us out!) into vetch/clovers/phacila. Still a lot to do here but early planted wheat and barley looking ok. 🤞

Extase drilled into Legume Fallow volunteers 7 days ago receiving a pre emergence spray at Woodhall Estate.

Managing to get a bit planted in Hertfordshire. Going better than expected on most places but some twitchy bum moments!
