I've been an Android user for 10 years... But these new price discrepancies have pushed me to return my Pixel 8 Pro and look to pick up an iPhone 15 Pro Max instead.
Tensor G3 isn't worth £999, let's be realistic. Eventually, Google will improve their horsepower & efficiency...

But this year, with the prices being so inflated on the Pixel, and getting more for your money on the iPhone, the iPhone feels better value IMO. I still kind of prefer Android tbh, but I want a flagship at these high prices, not just AI software magic.

A better chip does make a difference and I think Google need to start improving on Tensor chips asap. More horsepower is always a better thing 💯

This is why I say a better chip would make a big difference ‼️
Below is a screen recording of how Tensor G3 and Bionic A17 pro handles basic task of identifying and erasing using Google Photos.
The magic eraser tool works swiftly and seamlessly on the iPhone 15 Pro Max than it actually does on the Pixel 8 Pro.
Yet many folks say that they do not need a good cpu because they do not game on their pixels or edit videos on the go, but tbh, a better cpu is a crucial component for a great smartphone experience.
It is an absolute necessity. It would make for an awesome Pixel experience otherwise.
