Really proud of our Holocaust Youth Champions today after their speech at the Holocaust Commemoration Service. Some really moving speeches and they got a chance to meet some really inspirational people. Thank you to @AndyBurnhamGM for inviting us to speak again!

Jennifer from @Official_FPHS, was our final KS4 winner. Her piece focussed on a portrait of Leon, & chooses 3 separate moments to dwell upon, giving Leon and a shifting, unfixed form, which speaks to the power a single day can have. 10/13 RT @history_fox

Year 8 have had a drop down day today, learning about Holocaust Memorial Day. Also learning from the youth champions in school and focusing on the theme ‘One Day’. The work they have produced is so inspiring. #HMD2022

Our Year 7s have been loving getting to work with our civil war equipment in classes! Thanks to Mr Barney of @FphsDesignTech for bringing it in to share and Mr Flesher for modelling our helmet as well!

Well done @Official_FPHS's Muhammad (Yr9) for his #Leon110 response 'Doubts'. The title reflects Leon's 'wrestling' throughout the poem & his life. The final stanza recognises Leon's legacy & the impossibility of replacing what was lost in the Holocaust.
