gonna post a thread of the Rivendell Lego set. Took a break for a while because doing Lego with a sling became too hard. so some of these are older. Fun way to keep track of progress

Look at the pure unadulterated joy of this boy with Down Syndrome who got a chance to meet the Pope and give him a present.

Will the Pope owe an apology to AI? Slaves were self-evidently human, yet the church got it wrong. All the more reason for humility now, writes Cameron Berg on.wsj.com/4xngaY3

Tomorrow, 10th June, will be a historic day for the Basilica of the Sagrada Família, and you can follow it live on our social media channels, from 745 p.m. (Instagram, Youtube and TikTok)📲 Don’t miss the solemn mass on the centenary of Gaudí’s death, officiated by Pope Leo XIV, and the blessing and inauguration of the tower of Jesus Christ, with a performance created especially for the occasion, which will illuminate the tower of Jesus Christ and Barcelona’s sky in a visual homage to Gaudí’s creativity and vision.

Actually, in humanity there is no shame in being a burden. We’re mortal. Our bodies get weak, our minds get weak. We will each die. And along we’ll depend on each other. Love is bearing the burden willingly and generously.

must. get. somehow.
LEGO just dropped its largest set ever: La Sagrada Familia. It has 12,060 pieces and costs $800. The set comes 100 years after Antoni Gaudi’s death (June 10, 1926). The details are insane including spires, carvings and interior with light shining through stain-glass windows.

At a rectory in Tulsa, 8 priests live under the same roof. No, it's not religious life; instead, it's likely the largest community of active diocesan priests in the entire country. And it may offer insights into addressing an epidemic of clerical loneliness.

This guy targeted his friends, family and members of his church in a ponzi scheme and defrauded them out of thousands of dollars but sure let's listen to him finger wave when the pope wants to consecrate a recreational activity to God

Rose: "Holy Father, can I tell you a joke?" Pope Leo: "Is it short? Lots of people want to meet me. Yes yes, okay. What's your joke?" Rose: "What do you give an Italian ghost for dinner?" Pope Leo: "I don't know...what do you give an Italian ghost for dinner?" Rose: "Spookghetti!" Pope Leo: "Oooooohhhhhoooo..." *cue laughter*

ugh. I wanted to go. but my thesis is due on september 30th. prepping for a conference on top of that seems…unwise. so, I figured I ought not to do unwise things for a conference on wisdom!
TONIGHT is the deadline to submit a proposal for our 26th annual interdisciplinary fall conference (Oct 1–3), discussing wisdom from age to age. Learn more & submit a paper/project/performance proposal: ethicscenter.nd.edu/programs…

A few months ago, I was arguing with people quite regularly on X, particularly about politics. It became a bit of a bad habit for me. So, I went to my priest during confession and admitted that I was spending too much time and harboring too much bitterness and anger toward people that I disagreed with. Of course, Father acknowledged and pardon me of my sins. And as penance, he told me that I should write a list of every person that I argue with and pray for them. Now this may sound silly, but it was actually a ridiculously wonderful penance. In part because it's good to pray for people, especially people that you don't necessarily feel like praying for — but also I found myself pausing when I was about to engage with somebody negatively. Do I really want to add another name to my list? I've carried this practice forward, and I'm still doing it today.
