1/2 General Haykal’s visit to Pakistan had purpose. Rawalpindi, Istanbul, and Riyadh are working closely to stabilise Syria and eventually have to deal with the Hezbollah factor. Whether you like it or not, Iran and its proxy-allies are considered a threat for regional allies.

2/2 The proposed agreement between USA & Iran will create space for the four capitals (including Damascus) to neutralise Tehran’s proxy influence. This particular geopolitical rivalry favours the super powers.

1/6 The US and Israel are using a "good cop, bad cop" strategy in Lebanon. While Israel says it won't leave or follow the deal, the reality is that its military actions rely entirely on US support.

5/6 Moving forward, the US can take one of two paths. It can keep dragging out fake negotiations while attacks continue, or it can briefly accept a deal and then let Israel launch a massive strike.

6/6 If a major strike happens, the US will claim Israel acted alone. But because Israel depends on the US for weapons and intelligence, no big move happens without Washington's approval. And right now the Americans look like the weaker side ready to move on with or without Israel … media narrative is shaping nicely.

Thanks to Pakistan, the peacemaker. Pakistan Zindabad! 🇵🇰👏
Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon. The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland. We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. I would also especially thank the visionary leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Türkiye for their immense contributions in this regard. With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week. These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony. @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @SecRubio @SteveWitkoff @SEPeaceMissions @drpezeshkian @mb_ghalibaf @araghchi

Big diplomatic win for Pakistan! Will it benefit 🇵🇰 or end up serving a small elite while Pakistanis see no change. We should use this momentum to do trade agreements, solve VISA issues, attract shipping through Gwadar & Karachi, boost tourism, & bring in long term investments.

I haven’t seen a comment from the Swiss authorities regarding hosting the event.
Key countries involved in Iran-US mediation: Qatar Pakistan Oman China Egypt Saudi Arabia Turkey UAE Note: not a single European country has been in any way relevant since February 28, but Switzerland gets to host the signing ceremony.

Saudi Arabia carried out intricate diplomacy and made sure Pakistan followed its line instead of jumping head first into the war to satisfy Trump. Riyadh played a critical role, hidden from public commentary.
Saudi Arabia normalized with Iran in 2023 through Beijing and renewed that commitment in December 2025, weeks before the US and Israel bombed it into rubble. When the war came anyway, Riyadh activated a September 2025 defense pact that placed Pakistan into formal obligation to Saudi Arabia, sent its Finance Minister to Islamabad the day before the critical talks opened, embedded its foreign minister in the quadrilateral platform Pakistan was hosting, and used the kingdom's financial instruments over Islamabad to ensure Rawalpindi delivered. The result: on June 14, 2026, it was Pakistan's prime minister who announced the US-Iran MOU to the world, and now the hope is that all parties involved can find an exit within 60 days. frametheglobenews.com/p/the-…
