You know what pisses me off the most in Web3 marketing and content?
Warning: toxic post.
It’s not the lack of style, individuality, storytelling, trend awareness, or any of that. Those things are subjective. People can argue about them forever.
What surprises me much more is
How did basic content production skills stop being a requirement?
Let’s take one of the simplest formats out there: interviews.
What do I see over and over again?
Crooked framing, terrible audio,
even worse lighting
And these aren’t random people posting for fun. This is content being produced professionally, published on behalf of brands and projects, and paid for by someone
What I genuinely don’t understand is how the industry can spend hours talking about narratives, engagement, community, and storytelling while a huge amount of content still struggles with the fundamentals of sound, lighting, and framing 🤷🏼♂️
The funny thing is, if you start pointing this out under actual videos, you’ll very quickly earn a reputation as the toxic guy
So let this be my scream into the void.
