My fiendish pub quiz at @TheMillCam starts its new season today! And my new, labyrinthine Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-style puzzle book comes out on Thursday!
ALT A picture of me smiling and gazing up to my left, wearing a greyish-purple shirt in front of pale blue curtains patterned with cream flowers and butterflies. I'm holding a copy of my new book, Spin Off, which has a striking cover (the title in thick, angular black letters, with a TV set containing a swirling, hypnotic pattern replacing the "O" of "Off", and my name in red underneath).
Recently discovered this wonderful Giovanna Garzoni painting of a hedgehog.
ALT This painting by the 17th-century artist Giovanna Garzoni depicts a hedgehog facing left, its grey prickles rendered in intricate detail, beside a short oak branch, a snail and two chestnuts. The colours are predominantly yellows, greys and browns.
Proofs of my new puzzle book, Spin Off, are here! They're looking great!
ALT Here I am in my kitchen with a rather intense expression, displaying a proof of my book. Its cover is black and white, with spiral patterns interrupted by a white circle in the centre, in which "CHOOSE YOUR PUZZLE-FILLED PATH TO TV STARDOM" is written.
Just heard about the death of Wizz Jones, an inspiringly brilliant musician. I was once part of a tiny crowd who’d come to see him play at a gig he ran at a pub; he told me dejectedly that a couple of weeks beforehand not a single person had turned up. youtube.com/watch?v=V_4Cox5h…
This season's ended up like the US election: the man in charge stays on far too long despite poor performances, Harris eventually takes over and offers a brief burst of hope before it all ends in disaster.
FOR MY BIRTHDAY, pls can you #RT this post and pre-save my upcoming single ‘For The Thrill Of It’ (feat. Kathryn Williams)? Yay! Thank you! 🎂 🥛

Looking for a fresh alternative to “See you later, alligator”/“In a while, crocodile”? How about:
“Hope our next meeting isn’t adversarial, gharial.”
“Next blank space in my calendar I’ll put your name in, Cuvier's dwarf caiman.”
