The opening night of our national tour to launch Mindless: How the Education System is Indoctrinating Children and Destroying Our Civilisation, the new book by Dr @belladabrera, was nothing short of phenomenal. More than 200 people attended the event, hosted by @TheIPA, in the ballroom at the Rydges Hotel in the Sydney CBD. Dr d’Abrera delivered a devastatingly powerful speech about how universities, schools and even childcare centres are indoctrinating children with new political, sexual and cultural dogmas instead of teaching them how to read, write and become responsible members of society. But here is the key point: almost every person in the room then queued up to buy the book. Some people bought 10 copies, to distribute to other parents and grandparents. This is an extraordinary strike rate. A good book will usually sell copies to half the audience at its launch. For Mindless, virtually every person in the room was moved to grab a copy. Mindless is clearly one of the most important books published in Australia in 30 years. It exposes how comprehensively the education system in Australia (and the US and UK) has been overtaken by Marxists who treat your children as their own, to be moulded not into happy, productive members of society but anxious, angry, illiterate and innumerate political activists who hate their own country and even their own parents. Which pantywaist publication has a more pathetic response to the infestation of sharks at Australian beaches: The @smh, which posted a story less than a day after an attack in which the author refers to herself more than she refers to the seriously injured victim? Or @SurfingWorldMag, whose entire current glossy edition deliberately ignores the easiest solution to the crisis? It’s a dead heat, in my opinion.

The current edition of @SurfingWorldMag is a special about sharks. In it, the magazine's editors timidly suggest there's not much surfers can do about sharks, even though their proliferation is the direct result of stupid govt policies. I wrote a firm but unfair critique of the edition on Substack, and tagged SW in a post on Facebook linking to it. This prompted co-owner Hannah Anderson to post a reel in which Nick Carroll shrieks a couple of random jokes about my critique while driving on a freeway, but says nothing about sharks. Of course I reposted the reel, cos why not? Amusingly, this has now elevated me a "top fan" on Surfing World's Facebook page. I hope I get a free Sharkbanz magnet! That would make a nice ornament for the fridge.
