Look at how standing up for Alberta’s constitutional rights and permitting a debate on our future is hurting our economy! Exhibit 107
Canada may be in a recession, but Alberta sure isn't 💥 Thanks to having no PST, the lowest corporate taxes in Canada, aggressively cutting red tape, and a relentless focus on keeping Alberta affordable, we continue to be the economic engine of the country. More evidence that Alberta can keep growing and thriving in an uncertain world 📈

Nice shot Premier :)
The federal government’s decision to extend its firearms amnesty once again is an admission that its firearm confiscation scheme is ineffective and deeply flawed. Ottawa should make the amnesty permanent and abandon its plan to confiscate legally acquired firearms from law-abiding Canadians. Gun confiscation programs will never stop gang violence, cross-border gun smuggling, and the criminal misuse of firearms. We will continue to use every lawful tool at our disposal to shield Albertans from any form of firearms confiscation. Alberta believes in a principled, evidence-based approach to firearms policy that targets violent criminals and illegal guns, not responsible firearms owners who follow the law. (And yes. That is a picture of me skeet shooting with friends.)

Dreams do come true Sean! It just shows if you dedicate every day in your media career inventing creative anti-UCP narratives and torquing stories, the Alberta NDP will find a way to repay your loyalty. We knew you’d get there one day big guy. Congrats! @CityNewsYEG
Very excited to announce I’m joining the Alberta NDP Caucus as Director of Communications. These are pivotal times for the province I was born & raised in, and Albertans deserve a good, honest, pro-Canada government.

The usual mindless drivel from Canada’s Chief Laurentian elite representative @acoyne Andrew, let me try and spell it out for you yet again. 1. Trudeau waged a sustained economic attack on Alberta with a string of destructive laws and policies that cost Albertans hundreds of billions in investments and hundreds of thousands of jobs while dealing with a cost of living crisis fueled by your buddy, Justin’s, open borders policies and failed Keynesian monetary theories. 2. Trudeau was replaced by Carney and, as part of Energy MOU, retracted or amended the 9 bad laws you refer to. 3. As a result, we have seen tens of billions of new private sector investment announcements in Alberta with much more to be announced shortly. We knuckle draggers in Alberta call this the initial signs of an economic boom (you are forgiven if you have forgotten what that looks like). 4. Premier Smith sees this flood of investment and jobs - stemming from the repeal of most of the terrible legislation under the MOU - as evidence that we can still make Canada work for Alberta and is fighting to make that case to Albertans despite your - and those of your ilk - continuing your feckless attacks on her. The reason for the block Andrew is I simply don’t value your opinion on the affairs of Alberta. You show your disdain for our province at every opportunity and I don’t need you clogging my feed with your 20x a day posts. But I will instead merely mute you so you can still follow my posts as I don’t wish to hurt your feelings. Have fun on that wonderfully balanced CBC At-Issue panel trying to unpack the important issues distressing Albertans with your fellow Toronto/Montreal panelists.
Wait, so ALBERTA IS BOOMING … under the oppressive federal yoke? Under the Nine Bad Laws? You mean the richest province in Canada is getting even richer? Clearly there’s no alternative but to bust up the country. I’d respond directly but the premier’s chief of staff blocked me.

I’m all for folks pointing out the potential risks of Alberta separating. That’s a healthy part of the debate. But this whole “the separation debate is killing investment” argument is complete BS. Every economic indicator says the exact opposite. Every. Single. One. Muzzling important discussions is foolish. Have a free and open debate and trust Albertans to make the right decision.
The Calgary Chamber - and the entire business community - is raising the alarm about continuing the conversation on separation. Separatist-driven uncertainty leads to "job losses, declining productivity and reductions in regional economic growth."

The UCP just held the largest political fundraiser in Alberta (and likely Canadian) history. Great speech by @ABDanielleSmith 2000 Calgarians at $525 per ticket. That’s well over a million raised in one night. Thanks for the amazing support Calgary.

Speaking with Quebec's business community, I explained why past politicians and their destructive, anti-Alberta policies created legitimate grievances and caused many Albertans to lose faith in Canada. Our job now is to restore that faith. That's why we're working with Prime Minister Mark Carney @MarkJCarney, CPC Leader Pierre Poilievre @PierrePoilievre, Premiers across the country, and industry leaders to reverse harmful policies, build nation-building projects, and grow our economy. As provinces, we should champion one another's success and support each other's economic aspirations. That's how we build a stronger Alberta, a stronger Quebec, and a Canada that works.

Citizenship and health care number on my drivers license…I’m in!
One Card. That’s it. Starting July 2, Albertans can get a new driver’s licence or ID card that includes their healthcare number and proof of citizenship, all on one secure card at no additional cost. No more flimsy paper cards. No more carrying multiple pieces of ID. Just a common-sense change that makes life easier.

“Life moves on. Guilbeault is gone. What the writers of history make of Guilbeault will no doubt be debated. Not here. Not in a place victimized by this man’s stupid schemes. But at least the story has a happy ending. In Alberta, we’ll take the win.”

There has never been a Minister in our nation’s history to have inflicted so much damage to our economy and national unity. His legacy is one of complete and utter disgrace.

Huge news for Alberta. Another great sign for our economy and people.
Exciting day for Alberta oil and our economy. Southbow has successfully completed its open season for its 550,000 barrel per day ‘Prairie Connector’ pipeline to the United States. This means thousands of great jobs for Albertans and Canadians for pipeline construction and the new oil production facilities and operations needed to fill it. This investment was not possible 2 years ago under Trudeau’s and Guilbeault’s economic attacks on our province. But with the Alberta-Ottawa Energy Agreement in place and those 2 terrible laws and destructive politicians gone, we are on our way! Just another sign that Alberta has turned the tide and our future is brighter than ever. I call on the federal government to unequivocally support this project and provide any and all necessary permits when ultimately required.

Excellent article by @dkennedyglans on what the October referendum is really about at its core. The eastern media and a few virtue signalling Premiers ought to take a careful read and adjust their counterproductive messaging. nationalpost.com/opinion/don…

Ho hum, just Thomas Lukaszuk blatantly lying to a national reporter again. Does anyone still believe this guy about anything?
Oh lookie here… @LukaszukAB telling a tall tale. @DaleNally_AB rode a horse. We checked with the horse 🐎 and it said it was pro-Canada and also pro-pipeline 😆

Dear God…I agree with Elizabeth May on something. Is this a sign of the apocalypse?
Asked if she supports Bill C-22, Elizabeth May replied: "Not a chance." She calls the bill "appalling," warning it could force tech companies to insert spyware for police, and said it needs major amendments. The Public Safety Minister then says, "we need to get you a briefing."

Was this Alberta NDP account response AI generated? How does asking Albertans for their direction on an issue constitute seeking more “power”. Dipper Logic…
You didn’t believe in direct democracy when it came to the daylight saving time referendum. You’re already passing motions on the other nine referendum questions before people even vote. Just admit it: this isn’t about democracy. It’s about power.

What a great day to be an Albertan.
#BREAKING: Carney Liberal MP and former Trudeau Liberal environment minister Steven Guilbeault formally announces his intention to RESIGN. He says he will leave Parliament later this summer, and will stay on as a Liberal MP in the mean time.

It’s disappointing to hear how offensive it is for media, lefties and even some conservatives to have our Premier use direct democracy to ask Albertans for direction on a controversial issue that has meaningful implications for the province and country. I’ve never understood the idea that leaders should fear hearing from the people and should even go so far as to take away the ability of our citizens to be heard at all on an issue that hundreds of thousands signed a petition to have a vote on under Alberta law. Have faith in Albertans. We are a passionate but practical people. We’ll weigh the pros and cons and make an informed and thoughtful decision together…and then we’ll move forward.

Extremely disappointing to see Mayor Farkas peddle misinformation about the Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP) and disability supports in Alberta. To be clear, by advocating against ADAP, Mayor Farkas and Calgary City Council are advocating against expanding disability income assistance to thousands of Albertans with disabilities who need support, but who are not eligible under the current one-size-fits-all approach. ADAP will help Albertans with disabilities pursue meaningful employment while continuing to receive the financial, health and personal supports they need. ADAP’s benefit rate is among the highest in the country. In addition, this program will allow for the highest level of employment income in the country while receiving financial benefits, meaning Albertans on ADAP can earn more while continuing to receive the support they need. To get the correct information about ADAP, go to: Alberta.ca/ADAP
I’ve heard from Calgarians deeply concerned about the AISH and ADAP changes. For some, that means about $200 less each month for rent, groceries, or medication. Council has formally raised concerns with the province. Albertans with disabilities deserve stability, dignity, and opportunity.
