🚨Bibb County Mother Pleads Guilty in Horrific Bunker Sex Abuse Case Involving 10 Children Rebecca Brewer, 30, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of sexual torture and nine counts of first-degree kidnapping in a Bibb County child sex trafficking ring involving eight suspects. She has agreed to testify against her seven co-defendants. Ten children between the ages of 3 and 15, including some of her own, were abused dating back to 2022. The abuse took place in an underground bunker on the property of co-defendant William Chase McElroy’s grandmother. Prosecutors allege children were drugged, restrained, and made available to men and women who made “appointments” at roughly $200. The operation generated up to $1,000 a night. Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade called it the most horrific case of child victimization he had seen in 33 years of law enforcement. Brewer has been moved to an undisclosed jail. A sentencing date has not yet been announced. Seven co-defendants still face trial.

🚨 SENTENCED: A sitting Justice Court judge in Utah just received up to 15 years in prison for sending explicit images to a 13-year-old girl and soliciting them from a 16-year-old while taking photos of children from his own family and church and sharing them with other adults online. Kevin Christensen was arrested after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped off the FBI. The investigation also uncovered ties to Ned Brady Hansen, the former fire chief of Tremonton City.

🚨Louisiana deputies say a registered sex offender used voice-changing technology to pose as a teenage girl while communicating with a 14-year-old online. We grew up being told to watch for the white van. Today, the “white van” is a smartphone, tablet, gaming console, or computer connected to the internet. The people targeting children no longer need physical access to them. Increasingly, they’re reaching children through the devices we hand them every day.

🚨 30 Child Victims Identified After Texas Man Arrested in AI Exploitation Case Involving School Photos This is not an isolated incident. A Texas man was arrested after investigators say he downloaded photos from school social media accounts and used AI to generate more than 900 explicit images of children. Approximately 30 child victims have been identified, and the investigation remains active. Recent cases in multiple states point to a disturbing pattern involving the use of AI in child exploitation. Children do not have to be photographed in the act of abuse for exploitation to occur. A school photo. A team photo. A birthday post. Images that most people would never think twice about can now be manipulated in ways that were nearly impossible just a few years ago.

🚨Iowa teacher accused of using hidden cameras and creating AI explicit images of students. An Iowa teacher is facing federal charges after investigators alleged he used hidden cameras in his classroom and posted AI-generated explicit images of students on the messaging platform Kik. Court documents allege the conduct occurred over several years. Former students have described feeling shocked and betrayed by someone they trusted. The technology may be new, but the harm is not. We must remain proactive as the methods used to exploit children continue to evolve.

Federal prosecutors say 145 children across the United States were targeted in an eight-year sextortion scheme. Authorities say Ramanan Pathmanathan, a Toronto man, posed as a teenager online, manipulated victims into sharing explicit content, and used threats to continue the abuse. Some victims were as young as six years old. Pathmanathan was sentenced to 33 years in U.S. federal prison. Children deserve intervention long before a case reaches 145 victims. Source: CBCNews

🚨As of today, social media platforms are legally required to remove revenge porn and AI-generated explicit deepfakes within 48 hours of being reported or face fines of up to $53,088 per violation. The Take It Down Act, passed with bipartisan support, now holds tech companies directly accountable for non-consensual explicit content shared on their platforms. Advocates have long warned about the devastating impact this type of content can have on victims, especially minors navigating online spaces. This marks a meaningful step forward in online accountability, victim protection, and digital safety.

🚨Schools Are Navigating The Challenges of AI Explicit Deepfakes Schools have reportedly been advised to remove student photos from websites and social media accounts amid growing concerns surrounding AI-generated explicit deepfakes. Experts warn that ordinary photos shared online can now be manipulated using artificial intelligence tools to create fake explicit content, raising new concerns for schools, parents, and online child safety worldwide. In the United States, some schools and education officials are also beginning to implement new policies and guidance surrounding AI-generated deepfakes involving students. As AI technology rapidly advances, many schools and educators are being forced to navigate challenges that didn’t exist just a few years ago.

🚨A former South Carolina city councilman and mayor pro tem is now facing a 23-count federal indictment involving allegations of sex trafficking, coercion of minors, and child sexual abuse material. According to federal prosecutors, the indictment alleges he targeted at least 19 minors, some as young as 12 years old, while serving as a public official in his local community. Stories like this often remain regional headlines but they reflect a much larger reality. Child exploitation investigations are happening in communities across the country, including at the local level, involving individuals in positions of trust and authority. Protecting children requires awareness, prevention, reporting, accountability, and continued advocacy not just when a case becomes national news, but every day.
