Last week, partners from UBS participated in a #FreeLitterAT pilot action at the fishing port of Dieppe (Normandy), analysing marine litter collected by vessels participating in the Fishing for Litter programme. ♻️ 2,240 tonnes of waste were recovered in one year. @interreg_eu

In collaboration with CETMAR, Veolia and local stakeholders, the waste was characterised to improve knowledge on passively fished litter. Most of the waste consisted of plastic fishing gear such as nets, ropes, trawl components and shellfish pots. #Freelitterat #FishingForLitter
