The Federal Reserve has convinced generations of people that watching their savings evaporate, their wages chase rising prices, and their purchasing power collapse year after year is "normal." If a private counterfeiter destroyed 96% of your money's value, he'd be called a criminal. When a central bank does it slowly over a century, economists call it "monetary policy."

The same people who can bankrupt businesses, destroy jobs, and regulate entire industries into the ground somehow expect us to believe they can centrally manage wealth better than the people who created it in the first place.
