今天是2026年6月12日，是香港反修例運動612的七週年紀念日。 回看2019年，百萬港人為了自由遊行抗議，卻慘遭中共暴力鎮壓，撕毀了對香港民主制度的承諾。 我當時還在中共國讀高中，對於香港發生的悲劇一無所知。 今天我有幸參與了在列斯（Leeds）舉行的紀念港人抗爭的活動，一起舉傘，回顧歷史，砥礪前行。 不管中共使用何種手段，都無法阻擋人們對自由民主的追求！ Today, 12 June 2026, marks the seventh anniversary of “612” in Hong Kong’s anti-extradition bill movement. Looking back at 2019, millions of Hong Kongers marched for freedom, yet they were met with violent repression by the CCP, which tore up its promises to Hong Kong’s democratic system. At that time, I was still a high school student in Communist China, knowing nothing about the tragedy unfolding in Hong Kong. Today, I took part in a commemorative event in Leeds for Hong Kongers’ struggle, standing together with umbrellas, remembering history, and moving forward with renewed resolve. No matter what methods the CCP uses, it can never stop people’s pursuit of freedom and democracy!

杜倫大學的物理學實力其實非常不錯，尤其是在天文宇宙學、粒子物理以及高能理論物理等方向。 這裡擁有世界知名的 ICC-計算宇宙學研究所 和英國國家級的 IPPP-粒子物理現象學研究所。 杜倫的國際排名（如 QS、THE等）雖然不像牛劍、帝國理工等學校那麼顯眼，但在英國本土的大學排名（如《泰晤士報》《衛報》等）中，長期位居全英前五。這與英國本土排名更加重視本科教學質量、學生滿意度以及國內學術聲譽有關，而國際排名則更看重整體科研產出、論文引用和國際化程度等指標。 杜倫大學歷史悠久，也是英國除牛津和劍橋之外少數保留完整學院制的大學之一。這也是不少英國學生和家長特別看重杜倫的一個原因。 就像我這一年預科的數學老師，她的兩個兒子今年申請本科時都申請了杜倫（當然還有其他的，因爲英國系統允許每位學生最多申請五所）。其中一位最終選擇在杜倫攻讀計算機科學，另一位則獲得了牛津大學物理學專業的錄取。 由於英國教育體系的特點，英格兰本科學位為三年制，因此對學生的學術基礎有一定要求。對於國際學生而言，先讀一年預科（Foundation）是一條常見的途徑，達到升學要求後即可進入相應的大學本科課程。 我當初也是因為看重杜倫的物理學實力，才選擇來這裡讀預科。如果大家對杜倫大學的一些優勢學科感興趣，可以考慮一下哦😊

完成了期末最後一週的學習，我在杜倫大學 Foundation 預科的學習也終於畫上了圓滿的句號。 杜倫無疑是一所享譽國際的好大學，我曾非常希望能繼續留在這裡完成接下來三年的本科學習。但因緣際會之下，我即將前往曼徹斯特，開啟新的旅程。 雖然只有短短一年的時間，但我收穫了很多。多虧了學校裡熱心且教學出色的老師們，沒有你們的幫助與支持，我不可能走到今天。 在我經歷了多年的學業中斷Gap之後，是杜倫給了我機會，讓我融入國際教育體系，再次追尋兒時科學家的理想。 在即將開啟新的旅程之前，我在此真誠地感謝杜倫大學這一年的教導與支持。 我不會忘記這一年在杜倫的時光，這將是我人生中珍貴的回憶！ Having completed the final week of the term, my Foundation studies at Durham University have finally come to a successful close. Durham is undoubtedly an internationally renowned and excellent university. I had truly hoped to stay here and continue the next three years of my undergraduate studies. However, through a turn of circumstances, I will soon be heading to Manchester to begin a new journey. Although it has only been one short year, I have gained so much. Thanks to the warm-hearted and outstanding teachers at the university, without your help and support, I would not have been able to come this far. After several years of interruption in my academic journey, it was Durham that gave me the opportunity to integrate into the international education system and once again pursue my childhood dream of becoming a scientist. Before I begin this new chapter, I would like to sincerely thank Durham University for its teaching, guidance, and support over the past year. I will never forget my time at Durham. It will remain a precious memory in my life!
