I've made a pledge to be a straight shooting Public Service Commissioner, so let's be real. A $50 annual savings is a great first step, but we can’t stop there. Georgia families are still dealing with higher costs for groceries, insurance, housing, and just about everything else.
But when was the last time you saw a bill go down instead of up?
That's why we should welcome good news when it comes. Lower costs are better than higher costs, and every dollar matters to families working hard to make ends meet.
Georgia's reliable electric grid and strong economy didn't happen by accident. They are the result of years of thoughtful planning and responsible decision-making. We can continue to manage growth, attract jobs, and keep the lights on without asking working families to shoulder more of the burden. We can continue to put pressure on your utility bill going down, not up.
As Public Service Commissioner, my focus will remain simple: affordability, reliability, and accountability to the people paying the bills.
