Ask the people of Greater Manchester whether they believe that @domdyer70 - he ran for Mayor on the basis of no net loss of Green Belt, then presided over the unnecessary release of 2,400 hectares of environmentally & ecologically rich Green Belt, including irreplaceable habitats

In Trafford, his Nature for No-one Plan will see the complete destruction of a 335 hectare deep peatmoss that @NaturalEngland considers to be a restorable, irreplaceable habitat, 15 sites of biological importance will be affected, along with a site of special scientific interest!

A development that will destroy almost 20 hectares of peat is already approved, despite not complying with policy, not having a compensation strategy & not actually bringing any benefits because this scheme does not yet have a connection date to the grid!

Huge congratulations to our director and founder, Mary Colwell, on being awarded an MBE for services to nature.
This honour recognises years of dedication, leadership and advocacy for nature, helping to inspire countless people and shine a spotlight on the urgent need to protect Curlews.
Those who know Mary will know that, while we're all celebrating, her focus remains firmly on the birds and the work still to be done. The MBE is richly deserved, but her real reward is seeing a future for Curlews.

This is difficult to watch, it's embarrassing, it's enraging, it's shameful.
Emma Reynolds the Secretary of State for the Environment and David Hill the head of water at Defra appeared before MPs on Tuesday where they repeated the same old lie, that water company shareholders invest their money in the companies and we, the bill payers, pay them back over 10, 15, 20, 30 years.
Even Ofwat have owned up, that's a lie the Β£104 billion "private sector investment" is coming directly out of your pockets, your bank account. For God sake just tell the truth.

Yes the government should introduce an ecocide law and then arrest themselves!!!
All Councillors and MPs should be taught the importance of nature and that how the loss of biodiversity impacts us all. I know there are many who do care but it is only if taught the full implications ....they will stand up for nature.
What we have now is a crime against nature!

Fife Council are "not convinced" that a controversial data centre should be classed as essential infrastructure that can be built on farmland that's prone to flooding.
The huge 600MW data centre on the countryside around Auchertool has received huge local community opposition.
