Before $ELYS uplisted, it was $NWGI. Per this PR from 5 yrs ago, they were early adopters of #AI ➡️are they gonna update us at some point soon? 🤔 ➡️ Newgioco Group Launches First Phase of Artificial Intelligence Technology on ELYS Platform➡️ ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/new…
I can't say I make a great Batman when it comes to figuring out riddles, but I believe the answer is:
The Sands is leaving and Apollo is taking over The Venetian and other properties as operator making $ELYS perhaps the de-facto appointee to run risk/tech at their Sportsbooks.
$ELYS looking forward:
Retail to re-open could drive $5M rev this year and up to $20M by next year
Italy appears to be a profitable B2C biz which can help fund US expansion, if required
Aggressive signing of small-biz in US where legal
Hold now consistently double digits
$ELYS Q1 Between the Lines:
Revs down vs Q1'21, but take into account EURUSD weakness, higher gaming taxes, and company choice to close locations as is transitions its license status.
Have enuf cash for nxt 12mos
50 rights now in hand to re-open retail.
Did you know that @ELYS_Gaming allows their resto partners to be the operator and keep their patron as a client. Much more appealing than letting a DKNG or MGM take all the SB biz.

Rio Tinto essentially says:
"Here Geomega, take this $1M, do some lab work, and if it works, I'll pay u you a royalty on commercialization."
I wonder what the ROE on that project could be.....
Geomega & @RioTinto extend collaboration on Bauxite Residues. Rio Tinto invest additional $1M to evaluate in parallel opportunities to monetize iron compounds. $GMA to receive a royalty payment on any production of commercial products #cleantech#ESGgeomega.ca/geomega-and-rio-t…
$ELYS 10-K hilites
- Converted approx $54M in land-based sport only handle to about $321M in online handle
- Backing out mostly 1-time G A costs that were really "investment" to build the US biz, leaves you with a profitable Italian B2C op.
I expect Italy to be CF in '22.
Fanatics and Amelco are rumored to be in a partnership that is rumored to pay Amelco over $100M over an indeterminate length of time for use of their platform. Considering Fanatics has 0 SB rev, I wonder what $ELYS may be earning from Lottomatica who did $1.6B of rev last year.
$ELYS Today's hire is more evidence that Elys is ramping up for a multi-state rollout of a SB product for Lottomatica. Lottomatica is the digital gaming arm of $APO. We prob see Yahoo, another $APO property, as the customer facing brand. $DKNG has SBtech. $APO will have $ELYS.
The new individual, Drozd, appears to be a respected key person with 2 decades experience in sports book tech, likely knows the regulators and rules in every state, and is there to help fast track the setup of $ELYS tech in the states that LottoM (Apollo/Yahoo) want to pursue.
