Pre-harvest sprout tolerance is very important across the Northern Plains. At Frontier Genetics we screen all our experimental lines in addition to commercial varieties to assess their tolerance/susceptibility.

At Frontier Genetics the field season may be over but we don’t stop growing.

Our offseason/counter season nursery is well on its way. We can turn 2 generations prior to planting next spring.

Tuesday was our last day in the field, 2025 is in the books. We’ll take a little R&R and hit post harvest processing and data analysis hard next week.

Recent storms left a mark across our region, including at several Arthur locations. Today we're announcing a major investment in emergency and long-term grain handling infrastructure at our Ayr and Pillsbury locations. The Arthur Companies will construct over 5 million bushels of new bunker storage and significantly expand drying capacity ahead of harvest: → Ayr: Two new 1.3 million bushel paved bunkers will be built with upgraded unloading, truck flow, and fan systems. Adding a new 7,500 bushel-per-hour dryer to triple existing throughput. → Pillsbury: A 2.5 million bushel expansion of the existing East Bunker will bring total capacity to 4.5 million bushels, including a new reclaim conveyor system for greater efficiency. A new 10,000 bushel-per-hour dryer will be added during construction. We want growers to know they can count on us as partners to get through this recovery and come out stronger on the other side.
