Rewatched The Phantom Menace.
By almost any metric this isn't a good film - muddled, misguided, full of boring actors giving wooden performances, grating comedy relief and a script that seeming went from 'rambling first draft' to 'Action!' without anything in between but...

…I’d take this over the Disney efforts any day. Whereas this is like a finger painting by a 5yo – technically bad but still made with an endearing enthusiasm, a creative vision & lots of bright colours – the sequels resemble a Tracey Emin artwork: ugly, cynical garbage.

Disclosure Day sounds like another dreary misfire from the once mighty 'berg, but what's really off-putting to me is the revolting 'dirty bathwater' style of modern cinematography. Imagine Jaws or Raiders looking like this...

Another perfect day! The temptation is to spend it asleep (inside has reached that perfect temperature where you feel like you're floating in warm water) but no! Go out and enjoy the sun - the dreaded British summer will be here soon enough to spoil the fun.

Update: It was very nice.
Met a cat, took a long walk by the river, wandered round sunny, deserted streets like it was The Avengers or something & just when I thought I was totally lost, turned a corner & knew exactly where I was. And then I went home.
Maybe round 2 later today!
