Neighborhood Twitter is the best Twitter, and @FuckingFoster reported on a neighborhood beat like nobody else. Shout out to you guys for being a real one.
It's hip to hate em, but @wweek and @portlandmercury do a decent job covering the haps in our hoods. @emillygprado has been consistently solid in promoting events important to us. Please reply with local feeds you all follow to stay up on what's crackin in our absence:
Follow your neighbors and local cheerleaders/curmudgeons (even if you don't agree with them!). Following your area businesses is also a good way to stay up on changes. Communicate with everyone! Regional agencies are a good source.
But most importantly, get out and explore your neighborhood. Stop and talk to people. Grill your bartender. Poking around in seemingly abandoned buildings seems to always turn up something interesting to share. Basically, be curious!
First @omalleysghost then Fred Meyer, now this? What's next, Schleifer gonna take the Mayor's number off his shop?
Thanks for the laughs and info, FF team: you were great ambassadors for Foster Road-- our trashy, beloved place #RIPFuckingFoster ππΌ
Always knew youβd bail on Foster after the fucking βupgrade & urban renewalβ kicked into gear narrowing 2 grimy lanes into 1 plus walk/bike space planters & parklike BS. Well happy trails, donβt let Springwater grab your ass as you depart.
genuinely sad to see this account go. thanks for the news, the jokes and ESPECIALLY for being a compassionate voice on housing/homelessness issues. you'll be missed!
So are yβall going to pull back the curtain on whoβs been running the show? I seriously accused a friend a while back and his βWTF?β was fun but now I just want to know!
