It all comes down to kumpadre system. It's a tale as old as time.
I've seen vtubers who absolutely ain't that big like 1k followers or something, have not released tons of vocal covers, have not participated in a lot of vtuber concerts but they got to perform on certain conventions.
The difference? They sit with the same vtuber circles who are either close to the event organizers or are part of the event body themselves. And I respect the hustle. They gotta do what they have to do.
Just a bit sad how there are more people out there who deserved the spotlight but doesn't have the opportunity to do so just because they do not sit in the same table as some of the bigger players in the industry.
But, maybe someday!
I love supporting people who got to where they are because of their hardwork not because of connections!
