Sticking my neck right out here but hey.
A talk I gave at Breaking Convention 2023. Trigger warning: contains suicide references. Career warning: contains talk of healing trauma through raving all night.. youtube.com/watch?v=HAUPt6eC…

Me again. Look, I've got a book to sell.
Really enjoyed this panel for @marieukuk National Day of Reflection hosted by ⁦@AnnekaRice⁩ with ⁦@_JasvirSingh⁩ and ⁦@drkathrynmannix⁩ and the Reverend Cassius Francis. And yes, Anneka did wear a trademark jumpsuit to go home in. youtu.be/gO8s0LNiDmo

To anyone who says @ChrisGPackham can afford to fight this himself, maybe he can - we don't know, but you are missing the point. This is about the conservation community showing that he speaks for so many of us and we stand with him. Good luck Chris crowdjustice.com/case/suppor…

Stuck for what to buy your bigoted reactionary old uncle for Christmas? Infuriate him with “What Remains?..” by me. Buy it direct at rucallender.com and I will inscribe a personal message like Nigel Facade of your choosing. photo credit Jim Wileman for The Guardian.

'Callender’s joyous, thought-provoking book is an account of how his own early encounters with bereavement led to him becoming a new kind of undertaker.' Great review in for @wayswithweirds's #WhatRemains in today's @DailyMailUK @MailOnline #bookreview dailymail.co.uk/home/books/a…

Undertaker slash author sounds more ominous than I actually am, but so much thanks to ⁦@TroubledStriker⁩ and ⁦@theQuietus⁩ for this lovely review. A serious interview from a great interviewer. thequietus.com/articles/3221…
Launch day people. Please buy my no holds barred tell it as it is book “What Remains? Life, death and the human art of undertaking” published by the fabulous @chelseagreen
Today is the official launch day for “What Remains?” It is, by complete coincidence, the 45th anniversary of my father’s death, the event which started me on my path. Here he is not long before he died. He was an old and unexpected father, I was a young boy. I still miss him.

Funeral for the beautiful Suzi Kingston who took her own life, or in her words, was murdered by the system. Years of systematic neglect culminated in the last straw: the withdrawal of the £20 Universal Credit covid ‘top up’. This government is killing people. #austerity. #tories

To clarify about how serious Suzi was about taking her own life, she didn’t go gently into that good night, she threw herself off a cliff. I say this with the full permission, encouragement and righteous fury of her family. #tories #suicide #classwar #austerity
