Yesterday was more about reading than writing so today I have a lofty lofty goal of 1000 words BUT they don't have to be perfect. This should get my chapter introduction finished. I am 300 in atm, wish me luck! #thesiswriting #happyfriday

A productive push this afternoon = just over 600 words, of which just under 300 are 'good' and not destined for the cut for clarity chopping board tomorrow. P happy with that and my reward is a spot of rock climbing #thesiswriting

Thesis goal today was to finish the results section for this chapter 500 words. I have 150words so far and have a bit of code fiddling to do so I am going to set a B goal of 300 words... #thesiswriting #mondayvibes

OK I evidently didn't have enough ambition as I have already hit my word goal! This afternoon I will try for another 200 words carrying out some stats for another very similar dataset. Going out for a run now! #thesiswriting

I had such a good time at @mmeg2021, thanks so much to the organisers! Such a friendly, well-organised conference. I was very nervous about speaking, but in the end it was great to be able to share my research and I was really happy so many people came to talk to me afterwards!

enthusiastic mum: "how far is castle leazes?"
me: "15-20mins that way, there's a few routes..."
e-mum: "wow, that's quite far, is it a good castle?"
me: "um no... it's not a castle... it kind of looks like a prison"
mum: "well that settles it!"
