We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been awarded our eighth INFUSE grant by @ENERGY. The Innovation Network for Fusion Energy (INFUSE) program was set up to accelerate #fusionenergy development through public-private research partnerships, combining the expertise and resources of private companies and U.S. national laboratories and universities. Tokamak Energy Inc., our U.S. subsidiary, will team up with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Tennessee, to assess the impact of helium produced by neutron activation on structural materials, helping to progress the design of fusion power plants as #fusion moves to commercial delivery ⚡ Samara Levine, @TokamakEnergy Irradiation Damage Specialist, said: “As we continue to make progress on the design of a fusion pilot plant, it will be increasingly important to understand the effects of helium on structural components. Doing so will enable us to make informed material selections and design decisions for our first plant and beyond.” Earlier this year, Tokamak Energy Inc. was selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to be part of its multimillion-dollar Milestone-Based Fusion Development Program, its bold decadal vision for delivering commercial fusion.
