So... on my 4th series I ended up in pretty much the same scenario with @JeyTCG . We ran out of time and drew. The game was "won for me" at that point. But the thing is... It doesn't matter. We ran out of time. He also played more aggressively BECAUSE of the time constraint. Regardless, he conceded. I accepted because it meant I still had a chance at day 2. But I felt really shitty about the whole situation. The reality is, in my mind, I did not earn the win. I was so distraught by this that I ended up leaving my sideboard on the table and lost it for the next round. @JeyTCG offered this. I never asked for it, he figured my odds of getting the best of were greater since he hadn't practiced enough with Diana. And I was very grateful by this gesture. But looking back, this kind of thing just doesn't sit well with me. Because this was a competition. Making it to day 2 means you're taking somebody elses spot. You have to earn it. Playing fast enough to not lose to time is a part of that. And I recognize that as of now my level is not where it needs to be at. I don't think anyone should feel entitled to something like this, ever. Regardless of how close to a win you were. If you're going to play a slower deck, it's your responsibility to train to reach a point where you don't succumb to time constraints. No offense but this is on you.

This is extremely based. Every time you collude with somebody, remember you're screwing over somebody else. It's unethical, you are both taking money you didn't earn out of someone else's pocket. OP did the right thing here.
