Congratulations to an outstanding Michigan Man in Chad Kolarik on being hired as Associate Head Coach in Mankato! They continue to assemble a top staff and I look forward to seeing all he can do to assist the Mavs.

They defamed me. Maligned my name. Said I lost my fastball. Questioned our shade of blue. @GeneralsUpdates
No matter.. pure perseverance like you read about. Wish I was wrong! Beckham Edwards ➡️ #CollegeHockey
#NHLDraft eligible F Beckham Edwards confirmed today at the #NHLCombine that he will be pursuing his academics for the 2026-27 season with Notre Dame in the #NCAA.
The 18-year-old departs the #OHL after two seasons in Sarnia with many thanks for what the Sting did for him.
“Kamloops Blazers forward J.P Hurlbert came dressed for success to his interview. He was the only prospect in a suit. He said he is wearing a suit every day because that’s the level of respect he believes NHL teams deserve.”

Have a great weekend!
Teams who pass on Adam Valentini in the #NHLDraft will come to regret it over the next few years.
Hard skill. Consistent energy & effort. Cerebral vision & hockey IQ. The personification of a bulldog, and he'll continue to flourish as a key cog at U-M's #NHLFactory.
JP Hurlbert left the NTDP for the WHL during his draft year and responded with a 42-goal and 97-point season.
The Texas native discusses betting on himself, adapting to new environments, future at Michigan and the 2026 NHL Draft.

Simply overjoyed for Zach Werenski, winner of the 2026 Norris Trophy in his 10th @NHL season with the @BlueJacketsNHL.
One of the 100 greatest Wolverines in @umichhockey history, Werenski notched 20G 41A across 71 games. An All-American & B1G champion, Z is a Michigan legend.
The @NHL's best defenseman this year, Zach Werenski, had this to say about Coach Naurato back in 2021:
"I've trusted (Nar) for about seven years," (it's 12 now) "I just feel like every year I get into the season & I'm ready to go."

Michigan men have won 2 of the last 3 Norris trophies!
This year's winner, Olympic champ Zach Werenski, called Coach Naurato "the 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐲 I have ever met in hockey."
Great timing if there's a big-time D prospect touring U-M in the coming weeks..
Zach Werenski joins some elite company after picking up his first Norris Trophy! 💪 #NHLAwards
He's also the first @BlueJacketsNHL defenseman to win the award!

Gavin Brindley wasn't supposed to win a spot on the #Avs at training camp, but he did it anyway.
He's back in the AHL now, trying to help the Eagles win a Calder Cup, but he's also putting in the work to win a spot with the Avs again in the fall ...

It is interesting that some NHL Draft Pundits appear oblivious to the reality that the NCAA is NOW a quantum step up from the CHL and especially a watered-down WHL.
Gavin McKenna and Keaton Verhoeff both made themselves better players by going to NCAA.
NHL teams know this!
