This morning, I spoke with 4th and 5th grade students at @GCBurkhead in Hardin County about my heroes, including those who who carry a badge, teach a class, and wear nurse scrubs.
Our Commonwealth needs talented young people, and these students have a bright future ahead!

The first day of Hour of Code was a success at GCB. Students spent time in the library with Mrs. Skaggs learning about computer programming. They worked on code.org and coded a Mini Sphero through a human obstacle course. #HCSStrongerTogether @HCSTabb

.@GCBurkhead is NOT on lock-down. Per KY law, schools have to do a certain amount of fire drills. The school was just going through a scheduled fire drill. Somehow, the rumor has gotten out that the school is on lock-down because of that fire drill. That is false.
