16 year old @cameronam is the AAU District qualifier 100m champ in the 17-19 year old division, in poor sprint conditions. 4x1 team he leads off on, also advanced. On to regionals in both his events he is competing in!

🥎💥 MILESTONE ALERT! 💥🥎 In today’s MSHSAA Class 2 Semifinal game against the Kennett Lady Indians, Sophomore pitcher McKenzie Morris recorded her 400th career strikeout! 😾🔥 What an incredible accomplishment for one of the top young pitchers around. Reaching 400 strikeouts as a sophomore is something special, and it speaks volumes about the hard work, dedication, and dominance Kenz brings to the circle every game. Congratulations, Kenz! 💪🥎 Bobcat Nation is proud of you! 💚

efferson City, MO — May 23, 2026 The Thayer Bobcats 4x100-meter relay team made school history Saturday by capturing 1st Place at the MSHSAA Class 2 State Track and Field Championship held at Jefferson City High School. The relay team of Owen Brown (Freshman), Cordell Washington (Senior), Thomas Poole (Junior), and Riley White (Senior) brought home Thayer High School’s first State Championship medal in Track & Field since the 1930s — ending a drought of more than 90 years for the Bobcat program. A huge thank you goes out to Coach Greg Dixon, Coach Tyler Johnston, Coach Briar Hancock, and Coach Jamie Dixon for all of their hard work, dedication, and belief in rebuilding the Bobcat Track & Field program. And thank you to these kids for buying into the teachings, the hard work, the discipline, and the vision for what Thayer Track & Field could become. Because of that commitment, history was made. When Thayer High School hired Greg Dixon… you could feel it coming. Track was BACK!!!
