If you have an active policy, just reply "no" to the request to chat and you will be connected to a live person. If you do not have active insurance, then in many cases you can only start insurance online.

Gotta love tech. My wife hit a deer so I started the claim using the @GEICO app. Uploaded all the details, pics, etc. No waiting on hold or spending forever on the phone. #NotAnAd but WTG @GEICO making that super efficient.
Shoutout to @GEICO for making a claim so easy to submit. Called customer service and helped me out so much. Went back to the app after police report and was able to upload all the pics from the accident as well as the report. Thank you for making it easy on a difficult situation.
Not only does @GEICO have the best commercials on TV, they also have the best customer service of any company in America! Just had incredible interaction with Rebecca, who was so very helpful.

i know you don't hear people lauding insurance companies often, but i have to say @GEICO has been an absolute dream every time i have had to work with them for car-related claims/issues.
