GHF's Executive Director John Acree released the following statement today in response to the safe release of hostages in Gaza: “Today, we join countless others in profound relief and joy at the safe release of the hostages in Gaza. We extend our unwavering support to them and their families as they are reunited and begin to heal. This moment represents a long-awaited step toward peace and a measure of justice for those who have suffered for far too long. “Throughout this period of transition, GHF will continue making tactical adjustments to our operations. These short-term adjustments do not alter our long-term plans or mission. “The GHF commitment remains the same: to deliver aid consistently and directly to as many families in Gaza as possible, for however long it takes.”

In partnership with our mission in Gaza, @SamaritansPurse has airlifted 12 relief flights carrying vital aid. Their dedicated team is providing medical care and administering Ready-To-Use Supplementary Food to help prevent and treat malnutrition among women and children. We’re deeply grateful for their continued partnership.

This is what humanitarian innovation looks like. When Palestinian women told us they needed safer access to aid—and a way to reserve in advance, we listened. We built Women’s Only distributions and a reservation system from the ground up. Today, thousands of women receive lifesaving food each day with dignity, security, and efficiency.
