“...take a book, leave a book, share a book”. Or, just decompress, because books don't judge. It's lovely to see more of these spaces in hospitals as we start to recognise their importance- it can't all be hustle and bustle and efficiency. #MedTwitter goldcoast.health.qld.gov.au/…

Social cohesion Oz is fraying. Not because of immigration. Social cohesion is eroding because of increasing inequality. Fear results. Hope must be restored for social cohesion to build. But hope is dead if uncertainty reigns. Uncertainty ends when the future feels assured.
The term social cohesion has been said A LOT over the last few days. Most people using the term don’t know what it actually means. It’s not about assimilation or multiculturalism. It’s much broader, encapsulating class, social capital and inequality. abc.net.au/religion/andrew-j…

Latest @ICNurses statement on Gaza #HumanitarianCrisis Reports we received this week from #nurses on the ground working for a range of organisations are consistent with aid agencies and @WHO descriptions of a catastrophic humanitarian situation.
The @WHO has reported “mass starvation” and a “deadly surge in malnutrition-related deaths” caused by aid blockades, with a quarter of #Gaza’s population facing famine-like conditions, at least three quarters showing “Emergency” or “Catastrophic” levels of food deprivation, and 95% of households facing severe water shortages. ➡️ Read our full article: bit.ly/4fhIylR #nursing #nurses #nursesforpeace
