Can anyone link me to the latest release of "Liberal values"?
It’s really not a good look that many conservatives, and even far right influencers, on this platform are fawning over one particular candidate in the @OntLiberal race. Even more problematic, many claim to be joining the party to support said candidate. Let me be clear: we will only rebuild @OntLiberal through attracting tens of thousands of new members to our party — including new members from different political parties with conflicting views because that’s how you build a big tent and genuinely rebuild a party in clear need of renewal. Yet new members to our party must endorse basic liberal/Liberal values. Unfortunately, many of these supposed new members don’t meet this basic test — and I find this deeply concerning. #cdnpoli #onpoli

What look and what values am I supposed to espouse if I like Eric's mindset and some of the ideas he promotes ? Not a OLP member but he'd get my vote over Ford.

I am so sick of this crap. Go have a look at a map and see who our closest neighbour is. Then do a little research and figure out who has the world’s largest economy and strongest military. Then try and figure out how our national security and defence is built and operates. Then sort out our trade issues with that country. Then and only then will you have done your job.
Carney: The new world order will be built from Europe. Canada is the most European of non-European countries, and we are transforming our cooperation with the EU ... In a more dangerous and divided world, Canada has chosen to build and work in partnership with Europe.

Yep. The fallacy is the idea that we are a kind and generous people except for the massive increase in violence, car jackings, protests, vanadalization of churches and synagogues, homelessness or you can just listen to a progressive talk. All venom and anger
Breaking: Canadians have become the most obnoxious, insufferable people on earth.

Amid all the predictable seething jealousy and bitter resentment to this news, I’d like to congratulate @elonmusk on an astounding achievement. He’s got there by being the most driven, creative, hard-working and ambitious business genius in history. Salut, Elon! 👏👏

BREAKING: Trump says a deal with Iran is scheduled to be signed tomorrow. “Immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL.” The president says the agreement will permanently prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and described it as the exact opposite of the Obama-era nuclear deal. Trump also said no money will exchange hands under the agreement and warned that if the process falls apart, the U.S. has “the ultimate alternative.”

No end goal. I'm boosting him because of his messages and what he says. In a battle between Eric and Ford - yeah its Eric for me. Its his mindset. It's rare for a Liberal to talk with so much clarity without obfuscation. That matters to me even if I don't agree with everything
This guy is obviously just being boosted by conservatives who really want to make him a thing. Reminds me of when Tulsi Gabbard ran for president. What’s the end goal? Joining the Conservatives and giving a convention speech about how the Liberals “lost people like me” I assume.

FYI. 5T is being invested in AI. 80% of which occurrs in the US. Carry on .....courageously or something like that
Prime Minister Carney and Irish Taoiseach Martin announced a brilliant new partnership in Dublin. This agreement intensely expands trade by focusing on artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, and global food security. This deal highlights Carney's exceptional leadership. Known worldwide for his deep financial expertise, Carney has brought unmatched stability and respect back to Canada’s foreign policy. He clearly knows how to build deep, meaningful partnerships. By leveraging the historic, emotional ties between Canada and Ireland, Carney has secured a very solid, extremely good future for both nations. His experienced approach to international discussions shows that Canada is in highly capable hands. While the government delivers these clear victories, a few critics remain, but there is so few of them, it really has no bearing on Canada's success right now. This agreement proves that once again. Canada has fantastic leadership. There's no denying it. #canpoli #CarneyisBoss 🇨🇦 🇮🇪

Replying to @GMDanTO
This one also tells a tale worth listening to as we suffer, “Europe will be the leader of the new world order.”

Yeah because that's worked wonders in the past 11 years. 8.4M voted for Carney. 8.1M voted for Pierre. Sounds like a close election to me. What exactly do we deserve? Enlighten me. If we don't vote Liberal our votes are useless? The idea that Canadians are 'decent' is comical
I’m happy to see majority of Canadians are rejecting his MAGA style of politics as the polls are showing, he is dropping like a stone. As someone said on here the Conservatives only hope is to dump P.P and go back to a more Progressive Conservative.

Canada plays a soccer game and somehow Trump's name is invoked. Kind of sums up the state of our country
We deserve this after the year we’ve had with the wolf in the White House threatening our country 🇨🇦

5T is being invested in AI as we speak. 80% of that total happens in the US. This is a freight train. It has nothing to do with patriotism or Elbows Up or down or bad or good Trump. Forget the politics. Just look at what US companies are doing

Make this guy premier already
This pathetic attitude is among the worst things about our political culture in Canada and I cannot reject it enough. It gets cloaked in the language of progressivism but it is deeply cynical, ugly, and regressive. Story time! Growing up, I was hugely inspired by RIM (BlackBerry). It was one of the reasons why I wanted to go to Waterloo. I thought it was so cool one of the most innovative companies on earth was an hour away from home. In fact, my program, Nanotechnology Engineering, was able to exist in part due to the philanthropy of Mike Lazaridis, who funded the Institute of Quantum Computing and Nanotechnology (along with the Perimeter Institute for theoretical physics, which is a brilliant asset for the province and country). Balsillie, for his part, has spent tens of not hundreds of millions of his personal wealth on advocacy and institutions to make Canada a better place. But he too was castigated in our media. Through high school, I saw how Canadas media took an axe to RIM founders (Mike and Jim), and basically cheered on the decline of the business against competition from Apple and Google. It was a complete disgrace. Well, in 2013 I got my second co-op job there, just as they rolled out BB10 (the QNX operating system). 6 weeks into my co-op, my entire department was laid off (Modems/Semiconductors). Nearly every one of my colleagues ended up moving to the US. Some of the most capable talent on earth, poached in weeks. It was loss that was absolutely devastating to witness. I have no doubt people like Bruce cheered on the spectacle, just like he would cheer the downfall of Shopify if it were to ever happen; despite the champion it’s been for the country, the thousands of good jobs it’s created, and all the spin-off businesses that have created huge wealth for Ontario. Well let me be clear that I will have none of this nonsense.

The one thing Carney does astonishingly well is articulate the entire scenario well. Really uses prose to effect. Stop with the endless MOUs now. Action.
Carney on possible US-Iran ceasefire: Canada is encouraged by recent developments with respect to the possibility of a more durable ceasing of hostilities and potential pathway. But it's not concluded until it's concluded and formalized.

Fantastic messaging. 👍
There are some long-time Liberals upset that I’m running for leader, in part, because I am trying to pull my party back towards liberalism. I believe that: - The law should apply equally to everyone - People should be judged on merit - Markets should be competitive - Opportunity must be real for all - Government should be secular - Speech should be free - Excellence should be celebrated These values are simple, but they are good, and our politics has wandered too far away from them.
