On April 15, Reps. Gabe Evans (R-CO) and Scott Peters (D-CA) introduced the bipartisan CERTAIN Act — legislation that would set enforceable federal permitting timelines, strengthen interagency coordination, and protect lawfully issued permits from arbitrary revocation.

GPA Midstream released the following statement:
ALT GPA Midstream Association statement: Senate unanimously passes PIPELINE Safety Act of 2025, reauthorizing PHMSA's pipeline safety program for five years. The bill removes duplicative oversight for low-risk in-plant piping already covered by OSHA's Process Safety Management standards. GPA Midstream and GPSA pledge to support House passage.
