Today is #LawEnforcementAppreciationDay, and I would like to thank all of the Federal Protective Service Officers who protect us and our federal properties everyday. We are very grateful for all that you do!
I am excited to recognize a GSA building in my home state for #NationalMissouriDay. This year I would like to highlight our Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse from my hometown of St. Louis. It houses 2 different district courts & the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.

#FBF to the May 1932 opening of the Robert A. Young Federal Building, sometimes referred to as the "RAY" building!
Built in 1931, the building was originally a warehouse for the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis before the federal government acquired it in 1941.
Happy National Veterans Small Business Week! #DYK? The federal government's goal is to award at least 3% of all federal contracting dollars to service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses each year. You can find help from @GSAOSDBU at gsa.gov/small-business.
ALT If your company is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, it may be eligible for set-asides in federal contracts.
#TBT to 1962, when small business owners attended a public bid opening in one of GSA's business service centers. Now it's easier than ever to find business opportunities with the federal government at @USGSA's beta.sam.gov.

#OTD in 2019, Julie Dunne was appointed Commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service! Happy anniversary to @GSA_FASCommr. I'm proud of the accomplishments made by FAS, like MAS consolidation and the Federal Marketplace, especially during the challenges of COVID-19.
Join me in following Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Julie Dunne at @GSA_FASCommr! Congratulations Julie, on your one year anniversary as Commissioner! I look forward to hearing you share exciting updates on FAS and the great work that is being done.

I enjoyed speaking about Category Management and other topics with with @DeptofDefense Chief Management Officer Lisa Hershman today at @ACTIAC’s #ImagineNationELC!
ALT Close up of Administrator Murphy Speaking with microphone.
We’ve seen Category Management drive the results that we want. We’ve done this by building better market research tools, sharing data, performing pricing comparisons, and identifying small business opportunities.
At GSA, COVID-19 has made us rethink how and where we work, and how we balance out use of that space and the things we can’t do remotely. GSA has prioritized keeping people safe.
#DYK that @USGSA and @DeptofDefense are the two leads for Category Management in the federal government? I’m very proud of the progress we’ve made and I believe that Category Management drives better buying decisions.
“We’ve seen Category Management drive the results that we want. As an example, FY2020 was the first year FAS spent $1b of its own money with small businesses, and category management gets a lot of the credit,” GSA Administrator Emily Murphy at @ACTIAC’s #ImagineNationELC.

Very excited to talk this afternoon with @DeptofDefense Chief Management Officer Lisa Hershman at @ACTIAC’s #ImagineNationELC about category management, @USGSA’s and DoD's response to COVID-19, and the future of how we work!
