An important reminder of how the disability rights movement is interwoven with the civil rights movement that inspired it!
To close out Black History Month, CILT is honouring historical and contemporary Black disabled figures that have fought for liberation. The Disability Rights movement was inspired by the Civil Rights movement, so it's important to understand how these movements intersect. (1/8)

Earlier this month City Council made their final vote on the 2026-2027 budget. While there were some wins, there is still more work to do in advocating for better funding for disabled residents. @DavidMeyers6 from @CIL_Toronto shared what we should continue to ask from the city.
