Had a professor give me an Incomplete in a course I definitely finished. Refused to respond to my emails even 2 weeks into the next semester. Submitted a grievance. Only then did she respond to say I never did my final presentation...which I'd done. In front of the whole class.

was on the green route one time using markers to make a sketched storyboard when one of my markers rolled out my lap and a couple rows in front of me. A nbpoc saw the marker roll by her, looked back, looked me in the eye, then didn't bother to pass it back. yes it was intentional

@GTStudents idk who needs to hear this but happy hour at city tap on peachtree you can get 1/2 off sangrias and w your buzzcard you get an extra 1/2 off sangrias too so 4-6 m-f you can get $3 sangrias, i graduated in spring so would like to share this knowledge

The OP here also accidentally makes it seem like Asian students are not POC, I think she meant to say NBPOC. Regardless, her take is valid and important. When we as minorities hold stigmas or stereotypes (or, even worse, exclude our peers) we hold systems of oppression in place.

In most of my adv. math courses i never had a study group b/c the ones that formed the students would ONLY speak their native Asian lang. which is cool, but shut me out as the only POC in the courses period. I had no other option but to struggle alone 🗑

In one of my grad school classes we had a group coding assignment in MATLAB. When they were assigning roles I was the only one who wasn't given a coding part. When I asked why, one dude legit said "Oh, I assumed you didnt know MATLAB"....hmmmmmm
