We’ve overhauled the player model from the ground up. 🪞☢️🙋 This includes improved meshes and materials, more realistic proportions on a new rig, expanded head and hair seeds and a much-needed pass over almost everything player-related. The old player model has served us well for almost 10 years, but it’s lagged behind the rest of the game for some time. Visually, it was showing its age, but just as importantly, it was holding us back from making bigger improvements to characters and animations, and from implementing future features. 🛠️ Update 20 Hotfix 1 is now live! Thank you to everyone who has been playing Update 20 and sharing feedback on Juno Beach, the Canadian Forces, and the armor rework. This hotfix addresses a number of community-reported issues, including the DirectX 12 crashes affecting some AMD graphics card users. Key fixes include: • DX12 crash fix via a temporary frontend rollback • Juno Beach visual and environmental fixes • Front-end and DLC-related bug fixes • Newsfeed improvements • Canadian Forces content fixes To address the DX12 crashes, we have temporarily reverted the frontend to the previous Patch 19.1 version while work continues on the full Update 20 frontend. Once the underlying issue has been fully resolved, we intend to restore the Update 20 frontend in a future update. We're continuing to investigate reports and are already working on Hotfix 2.
