@GWolf_Science demonstrates how heating potassium chlorate (KClOâ) with a blowtorch causes it to melt and decompose, releasing pure oxygen. This turns it into a powerful oxidizer that self-ignites when it comes into contact with any organic material, like a gummy bear. The result is a dramatic combustion reaction!

I enjoy the distraction of a movie on a long flight, but who decided that game consoles should be built into the back of airline seats, so that passengers can have their measly 15 cubic inches of real estate jarred like an earthquake every 5 seconds?

Hey parents- Last week was teacher appreciation week. Itâs not too late! Last year I was given a box of 1000 pencils. May have been the favorite gift of my entire career! Certainly made the top 5 list! Consider this for a teacher in your childâs life!

My possibly unpopular opinions:
Let your students use notes on tests
Let them turn in late assignments
Let them retake assessments
Eliminate most, if not all homework
Oh, and give them a pencil without a hassle.
Build relationships, not barriers

Hey teachers- ever need a break? So do your students! Let them turn in assignments late. Admit it, youâve been late paying a bill, or late doing something for work too. Allowing late work wonât ruin their pursuit of responsibility. A little grace is a beautiful thing.
