Dr. Suresh Gadde’s G-INCs Lab is at the forefront of developing nano-sized tools for drug delivery. Now, his team has gone one step further by equipping these same delivery agents with built-in bioactivity. 💡 “Our proof-of-concept study might be the first one to show that particles can do more than just deliver and can contribute to treatment,” says Dr. Gadde, assistant professor at @uOttawaMed. “It’s more like we are arming them.” 🧬Such a concept could have significant implications for drug development, including leading to more targeted, personalized treatments for complex illnesses such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
