"Madina" means "the city" in Arabic, named by Alhaji Seidu Kardo, who was given the land from the then La Mantse, Nii Adjei Onano.
Though rejected by Klanaa Borough, it was temporarily called "La Hee"(Ga name until October 1991, when it was officially restored to Madina.

The Western media needs to stop dragging Thomas Partey's name through the mud.
He has NOT been found guilty of any of the pending cases against him, innocent until proven guilty is a thing.
Can we just focus on football?
For Ghana, Thomas Partey is a senior player, a regular starter and a member of the team's leadership group.
He is also due to stand trial in the UK on seven charges of rape and one of sexual assault. He denies all charges.
As the World Cup begins, he arrives as one of the tournament's most scrutinised participants.

In Africa, they succeeded in translating the Bible into various African languages so people could understand it. Yet, they failed to translate Biology, Physics, and Chemistry into African languages to make them easier to understand.

With respect, the caption on this post is misleading. Nungua is NOT "taking" any Teshie facility.
Let's also be clear, there is no clinic in either Teshie/Nungua called "Teshie Polyclinic."
The premise of this whole post doesn't hold. This is disturbing!

The Buade area (obviously of Nungua name origin), where the polyclinic is located, sits outside Teshie's jurisdiction by any honest reading of boundary lines.
This is not new information.

To say Nungua is "taking" a Teshie polyclinic is by that same logic, to claim the Kpeshie Police Command, Cactus Road and Cocoa Beach are all Teshie territory. Which nobody seriously argues.
The rename reflects administrative reality. Not a land grab.
