My job lol. H1Z1 not only was the platform, but my growth was unreal. Right from my first steam my average viewers was above 100, peak viewers was almost 700, I hit 13K followers inside of 3 months and I think we peaked at about 1,500 subs. We hit partner in like 3 weeks. It was insane.
That said, when your rise is due to something transient, the downfall was something I wasn't prepared for and it's something I don't think we talk about enough.
Once it all came to an end for H1 and the dust settled my averages went from well over 100 down to under 10. My peaks went from 500-600 down to below 30. I could steam for weeks and only end up with less followers than I began with. It was hard and I'd be lying if I said my self worth didn't take a hit, I took it personal but the reality was, it was anything but.
Then I shifted my mindset a bit, I realized there was a core group of names that always stayed no matter what I worked on, or what I played. They were the homies that kept the channel going when I honestly considered quitting.
They're still around, getting ready to drop 80, 90 and 100 month resubs and I'm endlessly thankful they still find the content worth popping in for.
Since then we've started to grow again. Follower counts are on the way up, average viewers have almost tripled and things are moving in the right direction for the first time in since 2023.
This ended up being a wall of text, but if you made it this far, I appreciate you and if you're one of the homies who still shows up for every stream, I'll see y'all in an hour or so for another impeccable vibe filled banger because y'all never let me down ππ
Growing on any streaming platforming just straight up is impossible now.
Gotta grow outside then bring people in. It also depends on the game you play. For me Twitter was the biggest growth for my streams.
What was yours?
