I decided to create this account to talk about games i discovered in my decades old experience with computers and consoles. Many titles lost in the past (and some in recent times), for a reason or another. I'll try to explain what you can find of value in them. And their flaws.
Maybe even better some kind of "lock" mechanism to slide along axis if wanted. Certainly it's an interesting approach to puzzles in isometric games, with pseudo 3D effects used in a variety of ways along the playthrough.
Outside melee fight you can also use magic. You have different elemental mana that can be combined (or not) into different spells. Similar to the rings in Jewel Master but with "ammo" to collect (or buy) before using magic.
It's important to find upgrades for you and your familiars. These are more about increasing you attack power and health bar. No equipment items.
Many of these items are hidden around or in dead end paths.
Another set of items are the healing ones. Some parts have some temporary invincibility too, like suggesting it's smarter to run through a section instead of trying to defeat everything on screen. Reaching the balance between not taking damage and find these items is nice.
Secrets range from the classic hidden passage found by jumping through a wall to platforming based ones or even something that reminds me of Turrican (loot suddenly spawning in a corner of the map). I prefer "realistic" puzzles overall but there's a decent fairness here.
The main issue of this game it's that after few environments there's not a lot of new things to discover, like upgrades to unlock. But the combat system and secrets make the rest of the levels fine. Worth learning how to beat it, bit by bit👍
