2028 program requirements released and 3-years is here to stay. Thank you EMRA and ACEP for supporting 3 year programs. Looking forward to diving into the new rec’s in the coming weeks after graduation and orientation and Ill tweet out the highlights. Stay tuned.

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Board of Directors on June 10 approved EM training program requirements that allow for continued 3- and 4-year residencies.

Not a fan of this decision. ResidecyCAS has the ability to allow candidates to know if their application is likely to get an interview at a program before they apply based on the past years selection of candidates by each program. This is a nice tool to combat over application and provide students meaningful data on their chances.
