Amanda spent hours telling me my logic fails. Here's what their logic actually did:
— Called a fetus a tapeworm and a parasite, then claimed it wasn't a legal argument when I responded to it
— Said 'six of one, half dozen' between 'fetus has no rights' and 'mother's autonomy overrides fetus' — these aren't the same. If the fetus has no rights, you don't need a bodily autonomy argument at all
— Used dependency to deny rights, which by their own standard strips rights from newborns, the elderly, and the severely disabled — never addressed this once
— Said stopping nursing and stopping a pregnancy are equivalent choices — one child lives, one dies. Not equivalent
— Dismissed the conjoined twin example without engaging the medical reality that one twin CAN be entirely dependent on the other's organs
— Called a developing human with a heartbeat, forming organs, and its own blood type a 'clump of cells'
— Never once defined what qualities actually determine personhood after being asked directly
— Closed with 'don't have sex if you don't want abortion' — the exact same responsibility argument they spent hours attacking me for making
The one question I asked from the beginning: what qualities determine personhood? Everything else — bodily autonomy, viability, dependency, rights — only makes sense once you answer that. They never did.
