As a dyslexic child I was put into a few reading interventions that didn't work for me before I found one that did. This was very hard on my self esteem. Please don't just assume the interventions that are offered to your child are going to work.
Thank you to @NateJoseph19 for including me in this project. Let's make every minute of intervention time count for students at risk of reading failure! #RightToRead link.springer.com/epdf/10.10…

OMG! This is the worst. I hate it when dyslexic kids/adults are told they aren't trying or that they are just lazy. I remember being told this, I've been told this about my children. It simply isn' true. @janhasbrouck & I debunked this myth youtu.be/VNe78Lqh_7E

Coke bottling is something that happens a lot at my house. School can be so taxing on my kiddos that when they get home to a safe place, they are just ready to explode! You can learn more about why this happens by watching this youtu.be/zUfB_nHFq_c #AutismAwarenessMonth

Have you ever been told your child will out grow their #Dyslexia? This doesn't happen, but hopefully they will learn strategies to support it. Watch @janhasbrouck and I discuss this myth: youtube.com/watch?v=wEK44SDs… #DyslexiaAwarenessMonth
