I think my grab here was late 2017, and I remember at the time not knowing if the entire recycling system was about to collapse. Very glad it didn’t, and that we’ve made huge progress the last 4 years…lots of exciting new facilities in the pipeline too iview.abc.net.au/show/abc-ne…

Cash for cans is set to start in 2023. Today I announced our exciting next step: how the scheme will work. Our focus is on maximising recycling of drink containers, an accountable system, and giving community and charity groups new and easy ways to fundraise.
