Unpopular opinion: 90% of college soccer recruiting failures have nothing to do with talent. Players spend thousands on showcases, camps, and highlight videos… But never send personalized emails. Never follow up. Never build relationships with coaches. Never research roster needs. The player who is “good enough” and communicates well will often get recruited before the player who is slightly better and does nothing. College coaches aren’t just recruiting athletes.
