Florida’s new Pitching Coach Rich Dorman resume:
-7 seasons as OSU pitching coach
-3 seasons as Grand Canyon pitching coach.
-8 seasons Seattle Mariners organization.
⚾️Oregon State
-Has coached 10 All-Americans at OSU.
-In 2022 had the National Pitcher of the Year.
-In 2024 had 3 All- Americans on staff.
⚾️Grand Canyon
-In 2019 had 2nd best team ERA in program history.
-Grand Canyon improved win totals every season he was there.
⚾️MLB
-Total of 9 pitchers he had worked with in the organization reached the MLB level.
⚾️Baseball Career
- Spent 9 seasons as a pitcher in the minor leagues for various organizations.
Simply put, a MASSIVE upgrade at the position from Sully.

Great news on pitching coach. But a bit of bad news here. Second LHP in the portal Florida has been trying to land goes elsewhere. Florida will continue on their quest for Lefty pitching. Now with a new pitching coach however. Hopefully results improve.

FSU has landed a major portal commitment from Cayden Suchy, the Big East Pitcher of the Year.
This past season, Suchy made 15 starts and threw 89.1 innings. He posted a 2.72 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. The left-hander struck out 105 batters and walked 23.

Also keep in mind, Dax Whitney, possibly the best pitcher in College and future Top 5 pick, missed the latter parts of the season with injury.
When measuring the effectiveness of a pitching coach, I would say this stat is near the top.🤷🏻♂️

McDougall had 7 starts as a Freshman, but only one start this season. At a minimum you have a experienced bullpen piece. Possibility does exist, with further offseason development and Fall Ball performance, a weekend spot is not out of the question.
BREAKING: #Gators land Jacksonville State RHP Maddox McDougall out of the Transfer Portal. McDougall posted a 5-0 record with a 2.76 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, one save, 3.3 BB/9, and 54 strikeouts and 49 innings pitched.

PORTAL COMMIT: @GatorsBB has landed a commitment from former Jax State RHP Maddox McDougall. McDougall made 23 apps this season w/ 54 K's in 49 IP. McDougall is up to 93-94 w/ FB 43% whiff rate on the CH.
